2 Week Road Trip

Get Ready for picture overload!  This summer was very busy for us and I can't believe it's already come and gone...now it's back to school on Monday for Rylee with her first soccer practice after school, and back to waking up early:( BOO for me!  The last 2 weeks we spent road tripping & camping up the California coast, Santa Cruz, Redwoods, San Fran. China Town, up the Oregon Coast then on to our final destination to a cabin on the beach in La Push, Washington (yes, where Twilight was filmed) for the Blackham family reunion.  It was was of the funnest trip EVER minus the 28 straight hours of driving through the night with NO a/c.  But the kids (and Clint) got to sleep all night:)  What can I say, I'm a good night driver!

This is at our first stop at an amazing house just a few minutes east of Santa Cruz.  It could have been my dream home!  With a pool and a hot tub and redwood trails just across the driveway only 10 minutes from the beach...it was a great way to start the trip:)

 This was my favorite camping spot, the Humboldt Redwoods!  GORGEOUS.  And Rylee learned to ride her bike with no training wheels just in time for the trip.  Now she looks super cool on her beach cruiser:)  The kids slept in the pop top of the van and we slept in a tent next to the car with Eloise.  By the way, she was a golden child sleeping in a pack & play for almost 2 weeks in a new spot every few nights

(these are out of order)  We went to the coolest zoo in Bandon, Oregon where the kids got to pet baby animals. A cougar, bobcat, black bear, raccoon, possum, & a ferret.  We loved it!
